Digital Treasury Transformation

Supporting Treasury Governance for Digital Assets Already Held

Many enterprises and family offices today already hold digital assets, not as speculative instruments, but as a result of business operations, settlement processes, or long-term operational or structural decisions.

While ownership may already exist, digital assets often sit outside traditional treasury, finance, and governance frameworks, creating challenges around oversight, control, reporting, and accountability.

DWealth supports organisations — including family offices — by helping them design and implement digital-treasury frameworks that focus on how existing digital assets are:

  • recorded and accounted for
  • monitored and reported internally
  • governed through policies and approval structures
  • integrated into broader treasury and operational processes

Our focus is strictly on management and governance of digital assets already in the client's possession, not on how digital assets are bought, sold, traded, or transferred.

DWealth does not assist clients in executing transactions in digital assets. All support is delivered on a non-discretionary, consulting basis, with all commercial and transactional decisions remaining entirely with the client or with appropriately licensed third-party providers.

Digital-treasury transformation is a multi-stage journey, not a single technology change. DWealth supports organisations across the full lifecycle of this transformation, acting as a non-discretionary consulting partner. The digital-treasury solutions described apply equally to enterprises and family offices managing digital assets already held within their organisational or family structures.

  1. Business Assessment & Readiness
Assess how digital assets already held by the organisation interact with business operations, and identify readiness gaps across people, processes, and systems.
  2. Governance, Policy & Risk Frameworks
Design internal treasury policies, approval structures, segregation of duties, and risk ownership frameworks before technology is implemented.
  3. Operating Model & Workflow Design
Map end-to-end treasury workflows for managing existing digital-asset balances, including approval flows, controls, monitoring, and reporting.
  4. Technology Architecture Design
Design fit-for-purpose digital-treasury system architectures that support governance, internal control, security, and reporting requirements.
  5. Vendor Evaluation & Integration Planning
Support clients in evaluating and planning integration with third-party platforms and service providers selected by the client, focusing on operational fit and governance alignment.
  6. Implementation & Operational Enablement
Work alongside internal teams and external vendors to support implementation, testing, and readiness, ensuring workflows operate as designed.
  7. Training & Stabilisation
Provide knowledge transfer and practical training to treasury, finance, and operations teams to ensure sustainable internal capability.
  8. Ongoing Review & Evolution
Support periodic reviews and optimisation as business operations, asset volumes, or organisational needs evolve.

For the avoidance of doubt: DWealth does not assist clients in acquiring, disposing of, selling, trading, transferring, or executing transactions in digital assets. All support relates solely to the management and governance of digital assets already held by the client. This lifecycle relates solely to the management and governance of digital assets already held by the organisation and does not involve acquisition, disposal, trading, or transaction execution.
